American Songwriter Debuts New Jack Grelle Single

Country-influenced songwriter Jack Grelle has a new album due to hit the streets on October 28, 2016. American Songwriter has just debuted the first single and title track of the album, “Got Dressed Up to be Let Down.”

The song features dual lead playing from Paul Weber (harmonica) and Ryan Koenig (fiddle). Most of you know Ryan as the multi-instrumentalist from Pokey LaFarge, Rum Drum Ramblers, and his performances around the country as the Lonesome Cowboy. Paul Weber is most known from his time playing harmonica in the Hooten Hallers and as a contributing songwriter to the Hobosexuals. Their dual-playing is modeled after early Cajun folk recordings and is an homage to the culture of Lafayette, Louisianna.

Head on over to the American Songwriter site to check out the preview as well as the great write-up which lauds the single’s “traditional country sound with subversive, thought-provoking lyrics.”

You can also pre-order the record at the store.
