The Vultures
$9.99
This is the release that started it all. The Vultures were South City St. Louis’ favorite garage-punks from 2005-2007. Featuring Ryan Koenig on guitar and vocals and Joey Glynn on drums, both of whom would go on to work with Rum Drum Ramblers and Pokey LaFarge, among others. Also featuring the bass playing and vocals of Ashley Hohman, who would go on to play in some of St. Louis’ most interesting punk bands (Doom Town, Self-Help, Veil) and grow into a beautiful and vivid visual artists. Featuring a Chuck Berry-inspired Misfits cover as well as as some rock ‘n’ roll classics (Hanky Panky, Strychnine, Let’s Have a Party), the Vultures were first in everyone’s hearts. Raw, dirty, and perfectly imperfect.
Stand-out track: “Don’t Stop Loving Me”
